19,95 $
Follow six young Montanans as they learn that 4-H is about having fun--but being responsible about it. It's about refusing to give up on the runt of the litter, staying up all night to bottle feed a sick calf while knowing someday you'll have to say goodbye. It's about pledging your head, your heart, your hands, and your health--not for yourself but to help others.

Follow a group of young Montanans during the course of their 4-H year. In Winnett, recent flooding is taking a toll on one boy's 4-H bug collection. A twelve-year-old girl with her own hog-breeding business struggles to pay back her loan after her piglets suddenly die. In Denton, a fourth-generation 4-H'er juggles farm, family, school, sports and 4-H. At the Big Horn County Fair, one participant is experiencing "her worst fair ever." In Harlowton, a girl splits her time between her horse and her rabbit. And in Manhattan, a young man in the twilight of his 4-H career is a role model to his eleven brothers and sisters. Throughout the experience these young people continue to pledge their heads, their hearts, their hands, and their health, not for themselves, but to help other.
