Full Court Quest: The Girls from Fort Shaw Indian School Basketball Champions of the World (Book) is the well-researched and well-documented story by Linda Peavy and Ursula Smith of a group of young women who excelled at the fledgling game of basketball at turn of the century. 

Ten young women, representing seven Indian nations, came together at an isolated Indian Boarding School established at Fort Shaw in Montana.  They melded into a squad that overcame racial and gender barriers to become the best of the best in the game.  They were quite famous in Montana, and were a popular attraction at the 1904 World’s Fair in St. Louis, returning home with a trophy declaring them champions.
